With over 100 international dealers Art Stage Singapore promises to become one of the region's premier art fairs. We are showing the works of two exciting young artists, both of whom have attracted much attention in the past year.
Tsherin Sherpa is a Tibetan artist now living in California. His meticulous technique ensures a slow working process, so that only a very few paintings are completed in a year. We are fortunate to be showing seven new works especially commissioned for the fair. Leang Seckon is perhaps the foremost contemporary painter working in Cambodia today. Exploring the recent loss of his home at the edge of one of the last natural lakes in Phnom Penh he has created a series of elegiac paintings, mourning the draining of the lake, sacrificed to commercial and political pressures.
