We celebrate the promise of the lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer - with a show where, if we don't exactly bring on the soda and pretzels and beer, then at least we have some fun.
Until the end of August the gallery show highlights the playfulness evident in much of the work by our artists. Along with the Tibetans, Benchung, Gade, Kesang Lamdark, Nortse, Tensing Rigdol and Palden Weinreb, we are showing work by Jaishri Abichandani, Fereydoun Ave, Konstantin Bessmertny, Shane Cotton, Naiza Khan, Erbossyn Meldibekov and, for the first time with us the Korean artist Meekyoung Shin, showing a radiant set of vessels made in translucent soap.
Taking its title from an apparently light-as-air nursery rhyme, many of the works on view, like the children's chant, reveal a darker, more unsettling side.
