Nortse began his contemporary practice art about twenty years ago. Amongst his early inspirations was American artist Robert Rauschenberg, who had travelled to Tibet in the 1980s to exhibit his works.

In Conversation is an ongoing series of paintings in which Nortse creates visual dialogues with the masters who have inspired him over the past two decades. The three works on view in the exhibition pay homage to Duchamp, Basquiat and Andy Warhol.
